Be prepared – you may get distracted chatting to people!

But it’ll be worth it. We’ve never come across so many people who seemed genuinely delighted in sharing what their country has to offer. Tourism is big in NZ and very well organised but, like any business, it’s the people that make the difference. Over the course of three weeks we met one or two folk for whom their work was just a job, but definitely not the norm. Of course, if you live in such a wonderful country as NZ, you probably would want to show it off. 

And then there’s also one’s fellow travellers from, literally, all over the world – all keen to share experiences. All best done over a cup of Flat White coffee.
